He traveled throughout Europe in order to find the most eminent process. His travels allowed him to savor the many flavors of the world and he became convinced that the prominent taste of the Italian pasta was what he wanted to offer to his family, friends and customers. There he met Renzo Zoni, an Italian food manufacturer who shared Don Jose’s vision and dream of creating a pasta product the world would love. Their vision was to include the finest Durum wheat of the region and the classic pasta producing method of Italy to produce exceptional pasta. Both Don Jose and Renzo returned to Mexicali to create what today we know as the #1 pasta in America, PAGASA.
Don Jose now knew that he counted with the best wheat available and the most recognized machinary in the industry. Four generations later, the same formula and actions are taken to maintain the highest quality products in the market so that our customers can enjoy the traditional taste of homemade pastas.
PAGASA began its operations with only 6 workers producing 10 different types of pasta, 50 years later we have over 400 workers and produce over 20 different pastas and 15 varieties of cookies. These products have allowed PAGASA to achieve a high international expansion, delivering the best quality food to Mexico, United States and Canada. We are a company that is committed to offer products that comply with the highest quality, hygiene and safety regulations in every process and service in order to achieve the best client satisfaction.
